Ecommerce on WordPress is commonplace with the most popular tool by far being WooCommerce, a free plugin that turns your website into an online shop.
While the plugin is free, configuring it to meet your needs does take time and experience. My job is to put it all together and then teach you how to use it on a day to day basis. I don’t have the time or inclination to run your shop for you, I’d much rather it if you did that so I’ll show you how to use the WooCommerce back end to manage your shop without me, saving you money every day.
Whilst building the online shop isn’t difficult, we aren’t reinventing the wheel here, filling it with quality products is very important.
Before you decide to sell online, there are some key things to consider and expenses you may not have considered. First and foremost are your product images. I would highly recommend getting professional product images taken as they will make or break your shop. I can only work with what I’m given and I can’t make clothes laid out on your garage floor look like something people will want to buy, no matter how hard I try!
The structure of your shop is also very important, just like a real-world shop. You need to organise your products into easy to navigate categories so it’s easy for your customers to find what they want.
Finally payment methods; there are many online payment systems available such as Paypal & Stripe, both of which come as part of the initial WooCommerce package, but they will both take a small cut of each transaction, so make sure to look into this before you setup your shop.
