Web design
Accurately representing your business online
Accurately representing your business online
It isn’t as easy as it looks!
You already know that though or you wouldn’t be here. Web design has come on a long way from when I made my first website using Microsoft Frontpage back in 1998. These days websites are dynamic ever-changing beasts that need to be able to grab and keep up with the short attention spans in society.
I use WordPress for all my websites as it is by far the most prolific CMS (content management system) on the web today and is designed to be easily maintained by users with no technical ability.
My goal is to be able to give you a website where you can make simple changes to yourself, without having to involve me and generate an expense.
Our first step will be a meeting, preferably at your place of business or a cafe, whichever has the best coffee. During this initial meeting, I’ll get to know you, your business and your expectations. From there, I’ll put together a plan and give you a detailed estimate.
If you accept the estimate, that price is locked in. I like to have freedom when I design and I hate to clock watch. If I go down a path that leads me to a design I’m not loving, then I want to be able to start again, without pushing up the cost to you. So unless you change the requirements, the price we agreed on is the price you pay, no matter how much time I spend on it.
My lead time is usually around 4 weeks but this changes around the school holidays as I prioritise time with my family; I’m a firm believer in a good work/life balance.
